The Snyder County Assessment Office is responsible for the maintaining of assessment and valuations of persons, property, and subjects of taxation for county purposes. Snyder County also collects census data for the Midd-West School District.

The Snyder County Assessment Office maintains a property record card file and listings of property owners. There is a listing of per capita/occupational taxables. The county tax maps are located in this office. The entire county consists of 173 tax maps.

Assessment rolls are open August 1. If someone would be in disagreement with their assessment they may file an appeal. All appeals must be filed in this office by September 1, and all appeals must be heard and acted upon by October 31. These appeals are effective for the following year's assessment. The only exception would a Change of Assessment Notice, which allows 40 days from postdate to file an appeal.
